Chews Life. Dining Out For Life!

Dining Out For Life® is an annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of volunteers, and restaurants.

In 1991, Dining Out For Life was created by an ActionAIDS volunteer in Philadelphia. Dining Out For Life is now produced in 60 cities throughout the United States and Canada.

More than 3,000 restaurants donate a portion of their proceeds from this one special day of dining to the licensed AIDS service agency in their city. More than $4 million dollars a year is raised to support the missions of 60 outstanding HIV/AIDS service organizations throughout North America. With the exception of the annual licensing fee of $1,150, all money raised in these cities stays locally.

The 2016 Dining Out For Life International Date – April 28, 2016 – is fast approaching, so be sure to save the date! You can even make your reservations now. I've enjoyed planning a fun evening with friends in cities across the nation and do Skype/FaceTime simultaneous dinners.  Find your nearest dinner

Entertaining Difference

I've recently noticed that some pretty entertaining people are gearing up for a few shows that aim to impact community and conscienceness. In a day where the Trump's of this world like to act a fool, for silly nonscence, I'm happy to tell you about silly people wanting to change the world.

My friend Ronnie Kroell (Friend Movement) has developed “The Ronnie and Eddie Show,” a comedic reality show that follows the lives of Ronnie and “Laughing Eddie” Lobo on a roller coaster journey of dreams, drama, and helping others. Each thirty minute episode brings the viewer an intimate look behind the "smoke and mirrors" of Hollywood, the challenges of operating a business, and the joy of making the dreams of others come true. The show promises to bring the humor of Laverne and Shirley, the drama of Vanderpump Rules, and the heart of Extreme Home Makeover.

There will even be celebrity cameos from Bruce Vilanch, Karamo Brown, Aylin Bayramoglu, Frenchie Davis, and more.

You can support the The Ronnie and Eddie Show,” reality show on Indiegogo! Supporters have a part in creating a new Hollywood – a more inclusive, supportive, and talent driven place to dream. Knowing Ronnie as long as I have, I know this fun show will be used to continue critical conversations on life.

Miss Coco Peru (Trick, Will & Grace, Arested Development, How I Met Your Mother) has launched a kickstarter campaign for "Conversations with Coco". This for-profit media project is inspired by a show created at the Los Angeles LGBT CenterFor ten years, Coco has conducted intimate interviews with some of the biggest names in entertainment. These live staged fundraising events benefited the Center. Guests have included Bea Arthur, Liza Minelli, Allison Janney, Lainie Kazan, Jane Fonda, Charles Busch, Lesley Ann Warren, and Karen Black. Audiences for each show have been limited to the 200 attendees, but Coco wants to bring these remarkable conversations to a much larger audience!

Funds raised on Kickstarter will go toward producing the "Conversations with Coco" pilot featuring Lily Tomlin! (Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, 9 to 5, Grace and Frankie) Lily will reminisce on her legendary career of remarkable artistry.  You can support "Conversations with Coco" on Kickstarter.

It's fun to see the creative ideas that are being generated; whilst still having an impact on the world around us. Being a fan of both, I am supporting both. I encourage you to do the same!
